Cloudflare's October 2 blog list added a web search API on AI Gateway with Ceramic.ai, Exa, and Linkup, so a model call can pull live web context through the same gateway. It also announced a closed beta for a self-serve OHTTP gateway and renamed Privacy Gateway to OHTTP Relay. I am working from the Cloudflare blog index. Individual Birthday Week slugs 404'd when I tried them.
Protected Quick Tunnels now take an allowed-mail flag so only listed addresses or domains can reach a local app, with no Cloudflare account required on either side. The same week shipped Clef, open-source decision models on Workers AI.
OHTTP is privacy plumbing. It hides the client from the origin in a way people want from Tor-style tools, without being Tor. Mail-gated tunnels are a client-demo tool. If I already use Workers or cloudflared, I pick one of those three and ignore the rest of the launch week until I have a paying use.
